Excellent product for Rivians

I looked at all the running boards available for Rivians and decided that the RealWheels stainless running boards were the best option. Even in kneel mode the R1S was a little high for our kids and grandparents to get into. The extra cost for stainless steel was worth it to reduce any chance of rust forming as we spend time in the snow. Reviews of running boards made by other manufacturers seem to have rust issues. Installation was straight forward thanks to the directions and video. The hardest part was getting the underbody panels off to access the bolts. Cutting the panels to reinstall them over the mounting brackets was smooth. RealWheels has the smallest cuts/cleanest reinstallation of the panels since others wanted you to cut a large holes. Very happy with the product, they're sturdy and look great after 6 months of use. Only wish is for Rivian to offer running boards as a factory option but RealWheels fills this void nicely.

Exactly what we needed!

I must say, excellent customer service, fast shipping, packaged very well too. Instructions to cut the plastic trim were spot on even for the Gen 2 R1S. Watching the videos did help a lot also. Just remember to find your T55 Torx Plus before hand for the Install. Fit and Finish are excellent, I didn't want cheap plastic Amazon running boards on my Truck and these look great! Remember to measure three times then make your cut, but you can always test fit and cut more if need be...

Great addition to my R1S

I was very excited to have the retractable running boards but when they kept getting delayed by the manufacturer I was anxious to add something for the wife and kids to make getting in/out of the R1S a little easier. My wife is 5’2” and struggles even in kneel mode to get in… now extrapolate that to a 9 and 2 yo and you get the necessity. I found a review that recommended these and I watched the install video several times and figured this was doable. Pro’s - Look amazing, install was fairly straight forward. Con’s - Had to source the TP bits so had to wait several days to get that to do the install I would recommend supplying the bits in the kit going forward as they are only a few dollars and honestly if you offered it as an add on I would’ve paid the $10 to get the two bits from RW vs ordering them from Amazon. I highly recommend these as they offer a nice fit/finish and were easy enough to install.
